Asbestos

Asbestos is a known human carcinogen and exposure to asbestos has been attributed to lung cancer. Cromwell Environmental assists property owners in meeting the requirements of all Federal, State and Local Asbestos regulations while reducing their potential liability and exposure. Our Asbestos related services include conducting surveys to determine the presence of Asbestos, compiling recommendations for potential solutions, and monitoring of abatement procedures. Our experience with asbestos includes helping countless homeowners, large facilities, schools, and hundreds of REO/foreclosed properties with proactively dealing with concerns.

Asbestos Survey
Cromwell Environmental inspects facilities to determine the presence of Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM). State certified Inspectors execute a full site investigation and perform required sampling. The inspection documentation consists of analysis, report generation, and recommendations. We offer assessment surveys that meet AHERA and NESHAPS requirements, as well as surveys to meet a client's specific needs.

Air and Abatement Contractor Work Practices Monitoring
Cromwell Environmental provides on-site monitoring of all aspects of an Asbestos abatement throughout the project. Monitoring of an Asbestos abatement project helps ensure contractor compliance with regulatory, health and safety, and contractual requirements.

Who Must Have Their Buildings Inspected for asbestos?
If you own a building constructed prior to 1978, it may contain significant amounts of Asbestos. Commonly Asbestos is found in floor tile, duct wrap, ceiling tiles and popcorn-ceilings. Both OSHA and EPA regulations require owners to know the condition of Asbestos Containing Materials in their buildings to prevent exposure that may occur for occupants, tenants, or employees; such as during a renovation or demolition. Serious health and liability risks exist if Asbestos containing materials (ACM) are disturbed.
